Who we are

This site is operated by Conversion Architects (“we”, “us”), a go to market engineering consultancy based in Spain. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect, and when

We collect personal data in three situations, and in no others.

• You subscribe to the newsletter. We collect the email address you type into the form. Nothing else, and no hidden fields.
• You book a call. The booking buttons take you to our scheduler on HubSpot, where you enter your name, email and whatever you choose to tell us about your company. That data is collected on HubSpot’s page, not on ours.
• You email us directly. We keep the message and your address so we can reply.

This site runs no analytics, no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels. We do not profile visitors and we do not build audiences from this traffic.

What is stored in your browser

No cookies at all. One entry, named tca-newsletter, is written to your browser’s local storage when you subscribe to or dismiss the newsletter dialog. It holds a timestamp and nothing else: its only job is to stop the dialog appearing again for thirty days. It never leaves your device and we never read it.

You can clear it at any time from your browser’s site data settings.

Video hosted on Vimeo

Two pages carry video hosted on Vimeo: the Chopcast case study and the Claysino event post. Nothing loads from Vimeo while you read them, the still is a plain image until you click play. From that click on, Vimeo receives your IP address and sets its own cookies, under its own privacy policy, and we receive nothing from it.

Typefaces served by Google

The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser connects to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, which means your IP address and browser details reach Google. We set no cookies through this and receive no data back from it.

Who processes data on our behalf

• Brevo (Sendinblue, France) hosts the newsletter list and sends the emails.
• HubSpot (Ireland, for EU accounts) runs the scheduler and our CRM.
• Our hosting provider stores the site files and the server logs they generate.

Each of them acts under a data processing agreement and may only use the data to provide the service.

Why we are allowed to hold it

Newsletter: your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it in one click from any issue, and withdrawing it does not affect anything we sent before.

Meeting bookings and direct emails: the steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.

How long we keep it

Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus the time our provider needs to record the unsubscription.

Enquiries and bookings: for the duration of the conversation and, if we work together, for as long as the law requires us to keep commercial records.

International transfers

Our providers store data inside the European Economic Area where their EU regions allow it. Where a transfer outside the EEA is unavoidable, it is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, for it to be corrected or deleted, for processing to be restricted or objected to, and for a copy in a portable format. Write to pedro@theconversionarchitects.com and we will answer within one month.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, at www.aepd.es.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes to the newsletter are announced in the newsletter itself.

This policy is published in English, Spanish and Catalan. Where the versions differ, the English one prevails.
